Sérgio de Santana, 29 years old, resident on Rua Setimio Montanari, in Jardim Verona, was murdered this Sunday (31) at night in his home by his own brother Roberval Santos Silva, 37 years old. The crime shocked the city of Ibitinga due to family circumstances.
According to reports, Sérgio had celebrated his birthday, taking his brother Roberval to the party held in a house in Vila Simões. Both went to the festive meeting on the same motorbike and stayed for almost the entire Easter Day drinking in the company of family and friends.
It was already getting dark when Roberval decided to leave and left behind his brother Sérgio, who had to walk back to the residence where the family lives.
It was already night when the birthday boy arrived at the house extremely angry, starting an argument and then fighting, which ended in stabbings. The older brother, Roberval, was the perpetrator of the blows and Sérgio had to be rushed to the Emergency Care Unit, the UPA, but he did not survive his injuries and died.
The Military Police were called and registered the incident report, which is now with the Civil Police to initiate the investigation. Roberval fled with the motorcycle but some time later he ended up being arrested by the Military Police.
