Motorola Edge 50 Pro has European price revealed before official launch

In a post shared this Monday, leaker Paras Guglani revealed the European price of the new Motorola Edge 50 Pro, which will be officially presented on April 3rd.

The most striking point in the screenshot taken from an Italian retailer is the fact that the device is offered in a single variant with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.

The price will be 864 euros, something around R$4,672 in direct conversion and without considering Brazilian taxes. Check it out below:

In terms of specifications, it is important to remember that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will be launched with a 6.7-inch curved OLED screen that has a resolution of 1.5K and a rate of 144 Hz.

Furthermore, this smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, a 50 MP main rear camera, a 50 MP front camera and a battery in the range of 5,000 mAh.

The operating system will be Android 14 and Motorola is expected to promise up to three major software updates for this model.

Motorola reinforced that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 platform, which was made official in November 2023. It is made up of a Kryo 715 core at 2.63 GHz, three Kryo 715 Gold and four Kryo 510 Silver at 1.8 GHz, in addition to the FastConnect 6700 modem, which features Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

The display will be a 6.7-inch curved pOLED with 1.5K resolution, support for a 144 Hz refresh rate and certified by Pantone, ensuring a wide range of colors and real tones, especially skin tones.

According to the manufacturer, the cell phone will have themes created by generative artificial intelligence, using 15 different genres from popular artists. In addition, AI will also be used in the Motorola Edge 50 Pro cameras, helping to stabilize videos.

In terms of photography, the cell phone will feature a 50-megapixel front sensor with autofocus and a main sensor with an f/1.4 aperture, which the company promises will be the widest in the segment. This means it will capture more light, making it ideal for portrait mode photos.

Motorola also confirmed that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will have a metal frame and a back with a vegan leather finish. In terms of the operating system, it will come standard with Android 14 and will receive three versions of Android, going up to Android 17. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro will come with a curved pOLED screen with a centralized hole-punch camera. It will have 6.7 inches, 1.5K resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate, maximum brightness of 2,000 nits, HDR10+ and 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, as well as a fingerprint reader and Pantone Validated certification for more realistic colors.

The cell phone will be the first in the world with the Pantone Validated camera, promising to offer more realistic colors and skin tones in captured images. The elevated camera module will have three sensors, with the main one having 50 megapixels.

Today the company published the official page of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, confirming that the smartphone will be launched “soon” in India. Therefore, there are those who believe that the device will be the highlight of April 3rd.

As you can see in the official rendering below, the Edge 50 Pro will have a screen with curved corners and its back features a module with three sensors, as well as a vegan leather finish.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro has already appeared in a certification that indicated a 4,500mAh battery with 50W wireless charging. Now the portal AndroidHeadlines published images that it says are official revealing all angles of Motorola’s next top of the line in three different colors.

The leak indicates that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, which should be sold under the name Moto X50 Ultra in China, could be launched in three colors: matte black, matte purple and shiny silver with horizontal stripes.

On the back of the device we see three main cameras that must contain the following sensors:

• 60 MP f/1.4 main sensor
• 13mm equivalent ultra-wide-angle sensor
• 73mm equivalent telephoto sensor

At the front we see a curved screen that should be 6.7 inches in AMOLED with a refresh rate of 165Hz and thin edges. The chipset should be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 aligned with 12 GB of RAM. The 4,500mAh battery should reach up to 125W with charging via USB-C.

The Edge 50 Pro is expected to be announced on April 3 in Europe and between April 18 and 21 in Shanghai at the Formula 1 GP, as suggested by the teaser published by Motorola recently.

Motorola Edge 50 Pro receives certification with 50W wireless charging

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro began receiving its first certifications this week. This is because the device was found in the database of the regulatory agency TDRA.

With the number XT2403-2, the smartphone must have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and support 50W fast wireless charging.

In addition, the 4,500 mAh battery must also have wired charging of up to 125W, and the manufacturer must provide the charger in the device box.
