One murder defendant was shot inside a courthouse in São José do Belmonte, backlands of Pernambuco, during the trial itself, by victim’s son. The case occurred in November 2023, but the images were only released last week.

The crime occurred at the Dr. Geraldo Sobreira de Moura forum. In the images, the shooter is seen in the audience when, suddenly, pull out the firearm and points at the victim, shooting. A woman tried to stop the attack and was almost hit.
The person who fired the shots still fired pistols at the defendant, who committed the murder in October 2012. During the scene, the audience was in panic, with everyone running.
Lost donkey motivated murder
The suspect who carried out the shooting was identified as Cristiano Alves Terto. He was detained in the act by police officers who accompanied the jury with the murder weapon and remains in prison awaiting trial.
Despite the impressive scene, the defendant, Francisco Cleidivaldo Mariano de Moura, survived the attack: He was shot and taken to the hospital. He would have gone to the shooter’s father’s property asking about a donkey that would have run away. The victim said she didn’t know and Francisco, drunk, shot against man.
