“O UN Secretary-General António Guterres offers his condolences to the staff of World Central Kitchen following the death of their employees in Gaza who were on a humanitarian mission,” said Stephane Dujarric at a press conference in New York.
“The multiplicity of such events is the inevitable result of the way this war is being conducted,” he stressed.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted today that the Israeli army “unintentionally” killed seven aid workers from the World Central Kitchen organization and said that the incident will be the subject of an exhaustive investigation.
The institution is one of two non-governmental organizations (NGOs) actively involved in delivering aid to Gaza by sea from Cyprus.
