Suspect of involvement in soldier’s murder dies in confrontation – catve.com

The suspect of participating in the murder of the Military Police soldier, Gabriel Thomaz Fadel, aged 26, exchanged gunfire with police officers and died in a confrontation in the Formigão region, in the rural area of ​​Araucária, in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba. The confrontation took place on Tuesday morning (2).

According to the Military Police, the suspect did not respect the approach and fired at the team, who had to fight back. Medical aid was called, but the boy died.

According to the PM, a second person involved in the soldier’s death, the brother of the man who died this morning, and another relative of his were arrested. Details about the motivation for the crime have not yet been released.

The crime

The Civil Police are investigating the murder of soldier Gabriel Thomaz Feuerstein Fadel, aged 26. His body was found in the trunk of a car in an invasion area in Campo Magro, in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba, last Sunday (31).

Confirmation that the body was that of a soldier came this Monday (1). On Sunday, the military responded to a report of intense shooting in Campo Magro and found a Corsa vehicle. In the trunk of the car was the police officer’s body, with marks of blood and signs of torture.

Recently graduated from the PM, Gabriel had the habit of sharing the results of the operations he carried out on social media. The young man was the son of a colonel in the corporation. The PM issued a note lamenting his death:

“The Military Police of Paraná regrets the death of Soldier Gabriel Thomaz Feuerstein Fadel and sympathizes with his family and friends. The Corporation is applying its efforts to intelligence work, in collaboration with the Civil Police of Paraná, seeking to elucidate the crime” , says the note.

The police officer will be buried at 5pm this Tuesday (2) at the Água Verde Municipal Cemetery. Investigations into the case continue to find the suspects and the motivation for the crime.
