“It is beyond any reasonable circumstance that someone providing aid and humanitarian assistance should lose their life,” added Albanese.

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski also spoke out asking for “urgent explanations” from the Israeli ambassador in Warsaw, Yacov Livne. “He assured me that Poland would soon receive the results of the investigation into this tragedy. I join in condolences to the family of our courageous volunteer and to all the civilian victims in the Gaza Strip,” said Sikorski.

O UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron called the killings “deeply distressing” and said he would provide “full support to the families” of British citizens killed in the airstrike. “It is essential that humanitarian workers are protected and able to carry out their work. Call for a ceasefire

Also this Tuesday, Janez Lenarcic, European Union commissioner for humanitarian affairs, called for a ceasefire in Gaza, being echoed by Albares, from Spain, and Albanese, from Australia.

According to the Spanish Chancellorthe country demands “a ceasefire and the entry of humanitarian aid”. Lenarcic also stated in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that “this must stop. Now”, referring to the war in Gaza.
