One person dies and six are injured in a four-car accident in Guarapuava

The driver who caused a fatal accident while trying to escape the police will be charged with intentional homicide – when there is intent to kill. The information comes from Civil Police Chief Bruno Miranda Maciozak.

The case happened on Thursday night (28) on BR-277 in Guarapuava, in the central region of Paraná, and involved four vehicles. An army soldier died and six people were injured. Remember below.

According to the police chief, the 28-year-old suspect was questioned this Tuesday (2), at the hospital where he has been admitted and escorted since the accident. He is in pre-trial detention and preferred to remain silent during his testimony, explains Maciozak.

He was charged with one completed intentional homicide, two attempted intentional homicides, disobedience and driving a motor vehicle without a National Driving License (CNH).

According to the Military Police (PM), he had a false National Driving License (CNH) and has police records for other crimes. If the forgery is confirmed by the investigation team, the man must also be charged with public document forgeryexplains the delegate.

In the car of the man who died there were also his wife, who remains hospitalized, and the couple’s four-year-old daughter. The woman was interviewed at the hospital and told police she did not remember the accident-she suffered head trauma.

The police chief explains that other witnesses should be heard in the coming days and the police investigation should be completed by the end of this week.

The suspect’s name was not revealed. The defense argues that the driver did not intend to kill and asks him to answer for culpable homicide and bodily injury while driving the vehicle.

According to the Military Police (PM), the team received a report that a man in a vehicle was delivering drugs to a hotel in the city and, when the vehicle arrived at the scene, the suspect tried to flee along BR-277, carrying out dangerous maneuvers. .

While escaping, the suspect’s car crashed into a family’s car. Ronaldo Jordão, aged 26, died at the scene. He was with his wife and four-year-old daughter, who were seriously injured and remained hospitalized this Tuesday (2).

While still in pursuit, the police vehicle crashed into a pickup truck. Two police officers were slightly injured. The driver and three passengers in the truck were not injured.
