The double homicide that occurred at Shopping Popular, in Cuiabá, in November last year, was motivated by revenge. Businessman Gersino Rosa dos Santos, known as “Nenê Games”, 43 years old, who was in fact the killer’s target, had ordered the death of a man days before. This man’s mother and brother were identified as those who ordered the crime. They were arrested this Tuesday (02) in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul.

The information comes from delegate Nilson Farias, from the Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station (DHPP), who arrested the suspects this Tuesday (02), in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul.

“And for this reason, out of revenge, they chose to hire this gunman in the city of Minas Gerais, considering that they knew him, and took him to the city of Cuiabá, the place where this execution was carried out, and due to the choice of weapons used ended up claiming two victims in a single action.”the delegate detailed in a video released this Tuesday.

Now, mother and son will undergo a custody hearing, where it will be decided whether or not to maintain the prison, and to which prison unit in Cuiabá they will be sent.

Four firearms were found at their residence, including a 9mm pistol, “which is probably the pistol used in the homicide,” said the police chief. In addition, two 38-caliber revolvers were located, one chrome and one black, and a pen-shaped firearm.

Killer’s arrest

In addition to Nenê, Cleyton de Oliveira de Souza Paulino, 27 years old, was also killed at Shopping Popular. Not because he was the killer’s target, but because he was in front of the target, in the bullet’s path.

The perpetrator of the murder, identified as Silvio Júnior Peixoto, aged 26, was arrested on March 25 in the city of Uberlândia (MG), in a joint action by the Civil Police of Mato Grosso and Minas Gerais.
