Man who fell into crater received help from people

At least five people helped the doctor Euripides Fernando Meloaged 84, moments after he was swallowed by a crater in Espírito Santos, on Monday (1st). The elderly man, who is an orthopedist, broke his femur and underwent surgery.
According to videos from people at the scene, pedestrians helped him until the Fire Department attended to him. In the images, it is possible to see two people in the crater talking to the orthopedist, asking if he can move his feet and legs.
One group even tried get a rope to remove the elderly man from the crater.

Euripides fell on Monday morning (1st). In the video that shocked Brazil, it is possible to see the man walking along the sidewalk, with a bag in his hand. When standing in front of a lot with no parking signs, the sidewalk gives way and part of the wall falls on top of it. The floor felt “hollow”.
Cachoeiro de Itapemirim City Hall reported that Civil Defense isolated the location.
