A Mercedes-Benz Trucks announced the launch of the Actros L, a new truck with a ProCabin futuristic, improved aerodynamics and optimized assistance systems, according to the brand’s press release.

With a futuristic vehicle design, optimized aerodynamics, numerous comfort features, efficient engines, high driving dynamics and the latest assistance systems, the new Actros L has everything it takes to impress fleet managers and professional drivers”, says the brand in a statement.

Despite being diesel-powered, according to Mercedes, the Actros L was inspired by the eActros 600 electric truck, with the front being 80 millimeters longer, as well as having other aerodynamic measures, which result in fuel savings of up to 3%.

In addition to the aerodynamic optimization measures, Mercedes-Benz Trucks also highlights that it has increased the efficiency of the new Actros L in combination with the third generation of the 12.8 liter OM 47 diesel engine.

“Our goal has always been to provide our customers with the best vehicle solutions. The traditional diesel-powered truck will continue to be indispensable in different regions of the world for some time to come. Therefore, with the new Actros L, we have further optimized our model car that has been tested in numerous aspects, already reflected in the revolutionary cabin design”, said Rainer Müller-Finkeldei, development director at Mercedes-Benz Trucks.

The new Actros L will go into production in December 2024, says Mercedes.
