It hasn’t sunk in yet’, says mother of football player killed in Acre after photo with gesture associated with the faction | Acre

Thiago Oseas was at a birthday party when the place was invaded by a criminal group, his cell phone was searched, taken to another street and shot. He died at the scene. The player was available to the Santa Cruz-AC base and arrived in Acre two weeks ago to compete in the Acreano Under-20 Championship. He lived together with other players in accommodation in the capital.

“Everyone is devastated, it was something unexpected. We never imagined this would happen. We only know that it was because of a photo that he made the V for victory. His father had this information, people sent the report, but I haven’t opened it yet. For me, the penny hasn’t sunk in yet”, he lamented.

In an interview with Rede Amazônica Acre, Rosa said that she was informed of her son’s death by coach Orlando Caulin, who had worked with the player for four years. In a video published by ge AC, the coach said that the young man was exemplary and dreamed of becoming a professional football player.

“I haven’t eaten or slept since Sunday. I found out on Sunday morning, a businessman who had taken him to the Sergipe team. He was the one who was taking my boy to teams”, he recalled.

Thiago Oseas was Rosa’s eldest son, who also has a 15-year-old daughter and two other sons, aged 11 and 9. The boy’s body arrives in Recife on Tuesday night (2), at 7:40 pm local time. The self-employed woman also said that she hopes that her son’s cell phone is recovered so that she can have access to the photos he took and keep them as souvenirs.

“Thiago loved football since he was little, but he started training at Náutico at the age of 7. He trained at Santa Cruz, went to school at Sport and also made a selection, where he was one of the first selected, at a club called Retrô”, recalled his mother .

The Military Police arrested Andrey Borges Melo, Darcifran de Moraes Eduino Júnior, Kauã Cristyan Almeida Nascimento and Francivaldo Barrozo de Chaves for the death of Thiago Oseas.

The four went through a custody hearing this Monday (1st) and had preventive detention ordered by judge Andréa da Silva Brito.

In the police report, a friend of Thiago Oseas, who also plays for Santa Cruz-AC, told the police that he called the victim for the birthday of an acquaintance called Davi. Thiago and his teammate even went to the Rio Branco shopping mall and from there they went to the Santa Inês neighborhood, where the party was taking place.

According to the witness’ report, it was around 11:40 pm when the two arrived at the party. After a few minutes, criminals invaded the place and said that there were ‘CV people’ there and started searching people to take their cell phones and see the photos.

Party attendees were placed against the wall and asked why they were there and their names. The two football players introduced themselves, said they were not from the state and said where they had come from.

According to police records, Thiago and two other men were taken to a forested area and there their cell phones were inspected by the criminals. Upon finding the photo of the victim making the gesture associated with their rival group, the bandits shoot towards the player.

The group would have returned to the party and threatened other people if they found any suspicious gestures in the photos.

The Military Police managed to arrest part of the group on Via Chico Mendes and in the Santa Inês neighborhood.
