Judge maintains arrest of mother and son identified as having ordered the murder of a businessman and employee at Shopping Popular | ReporterMT

Judge Jorge Tadashi Kuramoto of the Police Inquiry Center (Nipo) of Campo Grande (MS), maintained the arrests of Vanderley Barreiro da Silva and Jocilene Barreiro, during a custody hearing held this Tuesday (2). Both are accused of being the masterminds behind the murders of businessman Gersino Rosa dos Santos, aged 43, known as Nenê Games, in November 2023. At the time, Cleyton de Oliveira, aged 27, also died from an accidental shooting inside Shopping Popular , in Cuiabá.

In the decision, the judge accepted the request from the Civil Police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office and understood that all arrest procedures were followed without any type of irregularity. Mother and son were arrested on Tuesday (02), in Campo Grande (MS).

Delegate Nilson Farias informed the ReporterMT that the prisoners must be transferred to Cuiabá this Thursday (04) or Friday (05).

The businessman and the employee were killed on November 23, when the killer entered the establishment and shot Nenê Games in the back, who died instantly. The criminal even ended up accidentally hitting a seller who was not the target.

The investigations indicate that the crime was committed for revenge. The family believed that Nenê Games was involved in the death of his brother and son.

The case is still under investigation.
