The Fire Department resumed this Wednesday morning (3) the search for the 68-year-old navigator who disappeared in the Redenção da Serra dam.

According to a report from the man’s wife, he was electrocuted in his boat while sailing on the dam and fell into the water.

The accident happened last Sunday (31), when the elderly man was sailing alone on his sailboat and the mast touched the electrical network that crosses the dam. He suffered a strong electric shock and fell into the water, then submerging.

The Fire Department was called on Sunday, but was unable to find the victim. The searches continued on Monday and were resumed on Tuesday and Wednesday. The browser has not yet been found.

Three firefighters are taking part in the search at the dam this Wednesday, according to the corporation. There is diving work to try to locate the body of the missing person, in case he drowned.
