According to a publication by Tom’s Hardware this Tuesday (23), there were 103 new earthquakes of magnitude 4 or greater in Taiwan which, despite the scare, did not impact the structure and production of the TSMC.

According to reports, the only action taken to avoid accidents was a quick evacuation of its cleaning team, aiming to preserve the safety of employees.

However, shortly afterwards, employees were able to return to work. Furthermore, it was also reported that there were no interruptions in activities or problems with security systems.

Furthermore, DigiTimes also adds that the TSMC will release an official update later today. The corporation’s objective is to allay concerns and ensure that no damage of any kind or negative impacts occurred within its factories during the earthquakes.

Experts explain that the tremors recorded are a consequence of the earthquake that occurred on April 3, 2024, which reached a magnitude of 7.4, enough to, for example, remove buildings from their foundations, not to mention the appearance of cracks in the ground and damage to all piping contained underground.

Finally, among the 103 earthquakes recorded recently, only two of them reached a worrying level, one of which reached magnitude 6.0 and the other 6.3, which could destroy everything within a radius of 100 kilometers.
