Accused of the murder of lawyer Hans Brasiel goes to the popular jury this Thursday

The popular jury session of those accused of the death of lawyer Hans Brasiel da Silva Chaves will be held this Thursday (25th), starting at 9 am. Lawyers Adelúcio Lima Melo and Wuandemberg Alvares Farias Silva, known as Vandim, a friend of Adelúcio, named as the masterminds, and Rafael Alves da Silva, who carried out the crime, will also be tried. Adelúcio, however, denies any type of participation in the murder.

As reported in the complaint by prosecutor Augusto Moreno Alves, Adelúcio worked in the district of Aruanã, mainly in the criminal area, and felt uncomfortable with the arrival of Hans in the municipality, who also worked in criminal cases. As explained in the accusatory piece, in August 2018, Hans signed a contract with a former client of Adelúcio and obtained his release, a situation that generated an argument between them and a death threat made by the accused inside the Aruanã Forum.

In fact, according to the complaint, Adelúcio arranged people to effectively kill Hans, but was unsuccessful. This criminal attempt was even the subject of a previous complaint by the Goiás MP.

After not being successful in the first murder attempt, the accused, according to the ministerial body, started to devise a new way to kill Hans, this time, with the help of his friend Wuandemberg Silva, who got in touch with Rafael and offered him to kill the victim upon the promise of payment of R$7,000. By articulating the agency of the executor, Adelúcio and Wuandemberg obtained a motorcycle and a gun, which would be used in the crime.

When agreeing to carry out the crime, the principals detailed with Rafael the way he should proceed, the escape route and that, if he were arrested, he should falsely justify the fact by claiming that the crime was ordered by a criminal faction, as the victim did not comply. with their contracts, a justification previously planned by Adelúcio, who had already filed several representations of this nature against Hans with the Aruanã Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Thus, the day before the execution, according to the MPGO, Rafael was taken to the bakery where Hans used to have breakfast, with the aim of the executioner seeing his target in person and avoiding any errors in the plan. On the afternoon of February 6, Rafael, who had offered R$500.00 for a teenager to help him escape, received a call from Adelúcio confirming that Hans was in his office and the crime should be carried out at that moment.

After arriving at the office, Rafael entered lawyer Hans’ office with the gun in hand and, surprising him, fired several shots in his direction, one of which hit the victim’s client in the leg. He then fled the scene, enlisting the help of the teenager. Rafael was arrested in the act the following day by the Military Police.

Adelúcio, Wuandemberg and Rafael were charged with triple homicide and corruption of minors under 18 years of age. In addition, Adelúcio and Wuandemberg will also be responsible for the crime of coercion (relating to two victims). Finally, Adelúcio will also respond for ideological falsehood.
