A 68-year-old man was seriously injured this Wednesday morning following an accident with a tractor.
According to the Mirandela fire commander, Luís Soares, the man was run over by the vehicle that “he left unlocked”.
It happened in the village of Alvites, in the municipality of Mirandela. The alert was given at 8:05 am and 14 operatives were mobilized to the location, supported by four vehicles and also the INEM helicopter, based in Macedo de Cavaleiros.
From what was possible to ascertain, the man suffered a chest and head trauma, having been helitransported to the hospital in Vila Real.
It should be remembered that, in the last week, this is the fourth accident with agricultural tractors in the district of Bragança, of which there were two serious injuries and two fatalities.
