The Acre Health Department (Sesacre), through the Urgency and Emergency Mobile Care Service (Samu) and in partnership with the Integrated Air Operations Center (Ciopaer), successfully carried out another aeromedical rescue mission, through aircraft AS 350B2 Esquilo, registered under the registration number PR-BII.
The victim, identified as Ana Karine Xavier, 18 years old, was hit by a car in Manoel Urbano, which resulted in a fractured pelvis. She received her first care in the municipality’s mixed unit and was transferred to the Rio Branco Emergency Room.
“Despite the severity of the accident, the patient was lucid and oriented throughout the procedure. Due to the efficiency of the team involved, Ana Karine was safely delivered to the capital’s Emergency Room, where she will receive the necessary care for her recovery.”, informed the state coordinator of Samu, Necila Fernandes.
Air rescue is an example of cooperation between different emergency services, with a commitment to saving lives in Acre. As time is often a determining factor in preserving the patient’s health and life, air transport plays a fundamental role in ensuring the speed of the rescue process.
