Cable camp – A body, not yet identified, was found late this Tuesday morning (23) at Praia do Pontal, in Arraial do Cabo. The body, which was that of a man and had injuries to the head, was seen floating in the sea by surfers in the region.
According to preliminary information, after finding the body, the surfers called the municipal lifeguards, who continued the incident. Witnesses claim that, until 1:30 pm, the body was still at the scene.
Reports indicate that, initially, the surfers did not identify that it was a corpse. However, little by little, the body approached. When they identified the man floating, they immediately went to get help.
Jornal O Dia contacted the Fire Department in the early afternoon and, until that moment, there was no record of the incident.
After the meeting, the Military Police were called to assist with the incident. According to the unit command, the garrison arrived at the scene and found a man lying with head injuries, who was floating and was rescued by life guards.
The investigation was called and the incident was forwarded to the 132nd DP (Arraial do Cabo).
