The Epidemiological Surveillance (EV) of Capivari (SP) confirmed the third death from dengue in the city in 2024 on the afternoon of this Friday (26). The victim is a 10 year old girl who lived in the center of the municipality.
According to city hall, the child was admitted to a private hospital network in Capivari, but died after being transferred to another institution in the city of Piracicaba (SP). The death occurred on March 3but confirmation of the cause of death only came this Friday.

The patient was admitted to Santa Casa de Misericórdia and was later transferred to the city of Piracicaba (SP), where she died. The serotype of the disease was not informed by the Department of Health.
According to city hall, the boy was admitted to Santa Casa de Misericórdia, but was transferred to a private hospital at the family’s request. The death occurred on Sunday, March 17th.
