Anderson had been undergoing treatment for cancer in the inguinal region since 2022. In February, he returned to the hospital and had a hypogastric nerve plexus block to reduce the level of pain. The technique consists of blocking the action of the nervous system in the hypogastric plexus so that cancer patients or those with chronic pain have more comfort in the region.

On March 19, the artist was discharged, but returned to the hospital on the 24th. His clinical condition worsened, and days later he was admitted to the same unit and spent four days in the ICU treating kidney failure. At the end of April, the artist, who was in the room, returned to the ICU, with no expected discharge. The artist was 51 years old and had a career of over 30 years.
