The price of soybeans in the domestic market continues to rise, mainly supported by exchange rate variations and export premiums at port terminals. On Thursday (25/4), the American currency rose in relation to the real, once again compensating for the slight drop in soybeans in the short term, on the Chicago stock exchange. For oilseed prices, however, it was a day of accommodation.
The indicator from the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea), based in the Port of Paranaguá (PR) fell 0.63% compared to Wednesday, to R$128.15 per 60-kilo bag. In the partial month, Cepea registered an increase of 3.31%.
Considering the monthly averages, it is the second month in a row of price recovery, according to the institution’s historical series. The average reference value in Paranaguá in April is R$ 126.49 (until Thursday, the 25th). In March, it was R$121.91 and, in February, R$117.64 per bag.
“The physical soybean market registers accommodation, resulting from the stability of pricing factors, CBOT and exchange rate”, assesses the consultancy Agrifatto, in a market bulletin.
In Mato Grosso, the state average reached R$109.65 on Thursday, according to the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea), an increase of 0.45% compared to the previous day. The export parity is R$ 105.96 per 60 kilo bag.
Survey by Scot Consultoria shows soybeans worth R$ 114 in Luis Eduardo Magalhães (BA). In Rio Verde (GO), a 60-kilo bag is traded at R$115.50; In Ferries (MA), R$ 108.00; in the Triângulo Mineiro, at R$115; and in Dourados (MS), at R$ 113.50. At the ports of Rio Grande (RS) and Santos (SP), a bag of soybeans is worth R$130, the company informs.
Export premiums remain positive, according to Sim Consult. For May, US$0.15 per bushel on the Chicago Stock Exchange; for July, US$0.19; and for August, US$0.38 on the value of the contract with the same maturity on the stock exchange.
