Celebrities mourn the death of Anderson Leonardo, leader of the group Molejo | Fun

Rio – After battling cancer in the groin region, Anderson Leonardo, from the group Molejo, died this Friday (26). On social media, celebrities mourned the singer’s death and sent messages of strength to the artist’s family.

On Instagram, the Molejo group released news of the death. “Our warrior Anderson Leonardo fought bravely, but unfortunately was defeated by cancer, but he will always be remembered by all his family, friends and his immense legion of fans, for his genius, strength and love of the stage and Molejo.”

On social media, celebrities mourned the artist’s death. Claumirzinho, a member of Molejo, spoke about his friend in Instagram Stories. “Hi, so this is it. [Anderson] he was a warrior. Strong, but needed rest. He accomplished what had to be accomplished. Thank you all for your prayers, for your positive thoughts, for following each moment. Anderson is gone, but his legacy and joy remain, that will never die. As he would say: regardless of anything, this is really good.” Jimmy Batera changed his profile photo to that of Anderson, with ‘mourning’ written, and Lucio Nascimento republished the statement from the Molejo group.

Leozinho Bradock, Anderson’s son, mourned his father’s death. “I’m in your lap today, always, and forever. That’s my feeling. I love you forever.”

Xande de Pilares published a video alongside the singer. “Thank you for the opportunity to be able to share many great moments by your side, you were a giant. Rest in peace, my friend, my brother!!! We will be together for eternity,” he wrote.

The group Naughty Smile extolled the artist’s qualities. “Today a great artist and human being left us! Rest in peace dear Anderson Leonardo, you influenced us with your art and will always be remembered as a warrior.”

The singer Alcyone wished the artist a good journey. “Anderson, God, Our Lady and the Divine Holy Spirit are already waiting for you on this bridge of light that you are crossing at this moment, on your way to eternal life. Your joy and irreverence are already missed by us”, he said.

Viviane Araújo spoke about Anderson and sent a message to the singer’s family. “How difficult it is to believe that we will no longer have your joy and irreverence, my dear friend! Heaven from today onwards will be much more fun with his arrival!”, he wrote.

The federal deputy pastor Henrique Vieira He was also saddened by Anderson’s death. “Today we say goodbye to one of the most charismatic legends of our popular music. Weep for pagode, samba and Brazil,” he said.

An avowed Flamengo fan, Anderson always wore the shirt of his favorite club, which never failed to pay homage to the singer. “Anderson has always prided himself on his passion for Flamengo and even recorded the song ‘Canto do Urubu’ in honor of Mais Querido. The CRF sympathizes with family, friends and fans at this sad time,” the team wrote.

Fight against disease

The Molejo singer was diagnosed with the disease in the inguinal area in October 2022. Months after announcing that he was cured, the singer had to resume treatment in 2023. On February 27, 2024, he was admitted to a hospital in Rio again , where he underwent immunotherapy and received pain medication. He was discharged on March 19th.

However, four days later, he returned to the health unit in serious condition. On the 8th of this month, the singer was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit due to kidney failure. Three days later, Anderson went to his room, but after worsening, he returned to the ICU on the 22nd. In the last few hours, his health condition worsened.

In the initial phase of treatment, he still maintained part of his schedule of shows and appearances on TV programs. In “Encontro”, on TV Globo, when interviewed by Patrícia Poeta, on one of these occasions, he stated that it was not “easy” to receive the diagnosis, but he showed hope when talking about the fight against the disease.
