This Saturday (27), a woman was arrested after admitting to having buried a baby in a hole in Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, in Greater Florianópolis. The arrest took place hours after the crime, after the Military Police located the woman’s car between São José and Palhoça.
The age of the baby and the woman were not disclosed. According to the PM, initially, the suspect would be the baby’s mother.

The police were called by a resident of Braço São João, in Santo Amaro, who found the baby’s body buried inside a plastic bag. According to the complainant, he saw the moment the woman arrived at the scene with a car and buried the body there.
The location has monitoring cameras and it was possible to identify the vehicle used and the woman. State deputy Sérgio Guimarães obtained the images and published them on social media. Check out:
With the information, the police began searching and located the vehicle. Upon approaching the car, the woman admitted that she buried the baby. It was not known whether the baby arrived dead at the scene or was buried alive. She was arrested and taken to the Palhoça Civil Police Station for legal action. The Civil Police investigate the crime.
