A 50-year-old man found himself in a dangerous situation while exploring a trail in the Nayoro mountains last Thursday, 25

Masato Fukudaone karate fighter 50 years old, found himself in a dangerous situation while exploring a trail in the mountains of Nayoro, in northern Japan, last Thursday, the 25th.

Two bears Brown ones crossed his path, and one of them started towards him. Demonstrating your skill and dexterity, Fukuda reacted quickly, delivering two kicks accurate shots on the bear’s face, which was enough to drive the animals away. According to the UOL portal, the man suffered only minor injuries, including a sprained leg.

In a local TV interview, he shared his survival instinct, stating: “I thought I needed to move, or I would be killed.”

Increase in attacks

The incident occurred in a worrying context, as Japan has witnessed a rise in bear attacks in the last times. Last year, 193 attacks were recorded, six of which resulted in fatalities. This number represents the highest since records began in 2006.

Analysts speculate that this increase could be attributed to the drier summer, which reduces the availability of food such as nuts, making the search for food a more challenging task for bears. Additionally, the migration of people from rural areas has left these regions emptier, allowing bears to occupy these spaces more frequently.
