Car knocks down pole and man dies instantly in accident in Boa Viagem, in the South Zone of Recife

A traffic accident left one person dead, in the early hours of this Monday (29), on Avenida Conselheiro Aguiar, in Boa Viagem, in the South Zone of Recife.

According to information, the driver was 57 years old, alone and died at the scene.

The accident happened around 2:30 am, near the third Jardim de Boa Viagem.

The victim’s name was not released.

Early in the morning, it was possible to observe the damage caused by the crash.

A public lighting pole was broken in half and hanging by its wires.

The red car was removed from the scene by a tow truck. The front of the car was completely destroyed.

The car from the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) was at the scene to collect the body.

Teams from the Urban Traffic and Transport Authority (CTTU) closed a section of the road, leaving only one lane for cars to pass.

In a note, the Fire Department reported that it was called at around 2:40 am.

It was a vehicle collision with a pole.

“Upon the arrival of the first garrison at the scene (Samu), only the vehicle was collided and the driver died, certified by that team,” he said.

According to firefighters, two teams were sent to carry out the procedure and remove the victim from the wreckage.

After the IML expertise, the removal procedure began.

The case will be investigated by the Civil Police. The Scientific Police were also at the scene.
