The singer Madonna It’s already among us! The queen of pop arrived in Brazil this Monday morning (29/4) for the show on Copacabana beach, in Rio de Janeiro. The performance will be on Saturday (4/5) and will mark the end of The Celebration Tour.
According to information obtained by CNN, the singer landed at Tom Jobim International Airport at around 10:10 am. On Sunday (28/4), two of the artist’s three cargo planes landed on Brazilian soil, bringing 270 tons of equipment.
The material will be taken to Copacabana, in 30 trucks, where the presentation stage is being set up.
Madonna came from Mexico City, where she performed the last shows of her tour, which celebrates 40 years of her career.
On Saturday, the event will start at 7pm, with some DJs opening. At 8pm, American DJ Diplo is scheduled to perform. Madonna will take the stage at the scheduled time of 9:30 pm.
This is the first time the artist has come to Brazil in 12 years. Last time, in 2012, Madonna made two presentations in São Paulo, one in Rio de Janeiro and another in Porto Alegre.
The first time the star was on Brazilian soil was in 1993. That year, she brought together 120,000 fans at the Maracanã stadium, also in RJ.
