Collision involves Banda Corpo e Alma truck leaving one dead in RS

Rio Grande do Sul: A serious traffic accident this Monday morning (29) on RS-342, in Três de Maio, took the life of a driver and left four people injured.

The collision involved two trucks, one from the beverage company Bebidas do Sul, from Independência, and the other from Banda Corpo e Alma, from Horizontina.

The accident happened around 7:20 am, close to the physical speed bump in the Carolina neighborhood.

According to preliminary information, the Banda Corpo e Alma truck collided with the back of the Bebidas do Sul truck, which rolled onto the road and hit a tree on the side of the highway.

The driver of the Bebidas do Sul truck, a 44-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.

The four members of Banda Corpo e Alma, who were in the other vehicle, were rescued by the Fire Department and Samu and, fortunately, did not suffer serious injuries.

The Military Brigade was on site controlling traffic until the IGP and the Military Brigade Road Command arrived to record the incident.
