The School and Professional Guidance Fair and the 2nd Youth Forum take place today in Penacova. This is the third edition of this initiative, promoted by the City Council, especially aimed at young people, who can find there a set of suggestions and alternatives regarding what their future could be in academic and professional terms.
The event, in its third edition, takes place in the Aniceto Simões pavilion and is attended by several universities and polytechnic institutes, which present their range of courses there, at higher education level. But there are also groups of schools and professional schools that also showcase their training offerings. In another aspect, the School and Professional Guidance Fair has the participation of several entities, namely the Army, the GNR or the Air Force, which also take advantage of the initiative to make themselves known, presenting themselves as alternatives for the future of young people.
The program begins at 10:00 am, with the inauguration of the event and 20 minutes later the lectures led by the different entities present begin, which continue until 4:15 pm. The afternoon program includes, at 4:30 pm, an open session of the Municipal Youth Council, which is attended by the entire municipal executive.
The afternoon program includes, at 6pm, the “Parents School” initiative, aimed at students in the 9th year of schooling and an hour later a similar initiative takes place, but for those in the 12th year. The fair closes at 9pm, with the presentation of the School Merit Awards.
