Former Miss Ecuador candidate, Landy Párraga, 23, was shot dead inside a restaurant in the city of Quevedo, Quito, Ecuador. The crime happened last Sunday (28).
According to information from the newspaper “La Nación”, Landy Párraga was inside the establishment when she was surprised by two armed men.
According to witnesses, the suspects approached and shot several times. Landy died at the scene.
Former Miss candidate is murdered: investigation by the Public Ministry
The main suspicion of the crime, according to authorities, is that the execution was related to drug trafficking. The young woman had been mentioned in a conversation between drug traffickers during an investigation by the Public Ministry, which is investigating a network of corruption in the government.
The man who mentioned the young woman in cell phone conversations was identified as Leandro Norero, a drug trafficker murdered two years ago in a prison in the center of the Andean Mountains.
