O WhatsApp will stop working on 35 smartphones from this Wednesday (1st). The list includes models with the Android operating system, such as Motorola, Lenovo, Huawei, Xiaomi, LG, Sony and Samsung, as well as some iPhones (iOS system).
Anyone who has any of the phones on this list should provide a backup of the messages to ensure they are not lost, or migrate them to a new model.

When WhatsApp is no longer compatible with a version of an operating system, users lose benefits such as updates, system fixes and technical support in general, which compromises the functioning of the app on the device.
Meta, the company responsible for WhatsApp, highlights that decision aims to improve the safety and efficiency of the toolwhich requires adaptation to the technical capabilities that only more modern devices can offer.
