In the week that the Crunchyroll was forced to start paying some subscribers for disclosing their personal information to third parties, the anime streaming service announced that it has increased the price of its subscription plans by Portugal to reflect the company’s investment in more anime, additional services like music and games, and additional benefits for subscribers.
In Portugal the signature FAN went from €4.99/month to €5.99/month and the signature MegaFan went from €6.49/month to €7.99/month. O Annual Mega Fan went from €64.99/year to €79.99/year.
The free time they have to try out the anime streaming service from Crunchyroll has been reduced, they used to have 14 strands and now they only have 7 days.
The countries affected by this price increase are Argentina, Colombia, France, Portugal, U.S and a few more selected countries that were not revealed.
This price change is already reflected on the website Crunchyroll. O Brazil who saw their prices be reduced as of July 2022 has not been affected by this price increase.
