Couple arrested on suspicion of involvement in the death of a missing man in Pouso Alegre

A couple was arrested this Tuesday (30) on suspicion of involvement in a death that occurred in Pouso Alegre (MG). The victim would be a man who had been missing since Friday (26). The body was found in a forest.

During the search to find the man, the Civil Police identified a man and a woman, aged 54 and 48, who were the suspects.

According to police, the woman led officers to the location where the victim’s body was. The man was in a forest on Avenida Perimetral. According to Civil, the report determined that a serious injury to the chest caused his death.

The woman and her husband were arrested and taken to the police station. The Civil Police requested temporary arrest, but the request was not considered. According to Civil, those investigated were interviewed and released.

“What led to the disagreement has not yet been clarified, and could be jealousy or defense. The motivation and circumstances of the crime are still being investigated to conclude the police investigation”, informed the Civil Police.

The victim’s body was sent to the Pouso Alegre IML and awaits the arrival of the family, who are from Belo Horizonte (MG). After recognition, the man must be buried without a wake due to his state of decomposition.
