OFans of Japanese animation who have an account on the Crunchyroll streaming service received some less good news at the beginning of May. This is because prices for this service have increased in some of the territories where it is available and Portugal is among them.
The plan Fan Crunchyroll now costs 5.99 euros per month (previously 4.99 euros), while MegaFan it will cost 7.99 euros per month (previously 6.49 euros). If you decide to purchase the Mega Fan annual subscription you will have to be willing to pay 79.99 euros (previously 64.99 euros).
This is not the only change applied by the streaming service. The trial period for the paid version of Crunchyroll is now just seven days, compared to 14 days until now.
Crunchyroll indicates that this is the first price increase since 2019 and that it reflects the “company investment in more ‘anime’, additional services such as music and games and additional benefits for subscribers”.
