A body was found in the lake Ibirapuera’s Parkin the south of São Paulo, on the morning of Tuesday, 30th, and removed from the water by the Fire Department.
The case is under investigation. Fábio Moller, chief investigator of the 36th DP, said that there are no monitoring cameras in the place where the body was.
Wanted, the Urbiathe company that manages the park, did not comment.
How was the body found?
Military police were called around 9 am and found the body on the banks of the lake. The PM then notified the Fire Department, which removed the body from the water at around 10:30 am.
Who is the victim?
The identity of the victim is not yet known. The body is male and appears to be around 40 years old. He was found on the banks of the lake, without clothes and without documents, with a strong odor and in a state of putrefaction, according to the police report. Identification using a fingerprint must be carried out by the IML.
What is the cause of death?
The body must undergo toxicological and necroscopic examinations to identify the cause of death and when it occurred. “The autopsy report will give us more direction on what to look for and where to look. We still need more field to investigate,” said the case investigator.
