The E-JS1 was the used car that recorded the biggest price drop in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period last year. The conclusion is from a survey by OLX, the largest auto classifieds in Brazil. The Chinese automaker’s electric vehicle costs, through the platform, an average of R$103,949, a 22% drop compared to the first three months of 2023, when it cost R$139,920. The automobile was also the one that registered the greatest variation in demand among those evaluated in the period, with growth of 272%. The list of vehicles used for this study was based on the new models that dropped the most in price in 2023.
“The survey shows that models with electrification were the ones that saw the biggest price reduction, which points to good opportunities for those who intend to purchase a car with this technology. But it’s important to know how to research. At OLX, the user can reference their search through the Fipe Table available on the platform, in addition to having the Price Reference within the vehicle ad, which compares the average value on the platform”, explains the Group’s VP of Autos and Commercial OLX, Flávio Passos.
The executive also draws attention to variations in demand. “The growth of more than 100% in demand for electric cars, such as the iCar, or for models with hybrid versions, such as the Tiggo 5x Pro, illustrates a trend of interest in these models. This is an advantage for anyone who wants to sell their car in this segment, and with the possibility of even advertising it for free on the platform”, he adds.
Another model that dropped its price was Caoa Chery iCar, second on the list, with a drop of 18%. The Caoa Chery Tiggo 5x Pro comes in third place, with a reduction of 11%.
