Two men, whose names were not released, were arrested on suspicion of having murdered and burned Maycon Douglas Justo, known as “Cabelo”, aged 31, in April. They were detained during the morning of this Friday (2), in the operation “Combating the Crime Court”, launched by the Civil Police.
According to police information, the SIG (General Investigations Sector) began surveys and preliminary investigations, suspecting from the beginning of a possible homicide of Maycon. Through the city’s video surveillance system, teams identified two suspects in the crime, two men aged 28 and 37.
Police authorities arrested the suspects and searched the residence where the homicide occurred. During the searches, drugs, money, a precision scale, a firearm and the vehicle used in the crime were found. The two suspects were present at the scene and were immediately detained.
Through witness statements, the police concluded that the crime was motivated by debts related to drug trafficking. Maycon was killed with approximately 27 stab wounds. One of the suspects, aged 28, denied involvement in the crimes, while the other, aged 37, confessed to the murder, claiming that the motivation was a debt of R$400.00 in drugs.
Investigations continue to determine the participation of others involved in the crime.
