The date is not chosen at random. In English, May 4th is pronounced “May, the 4th”, with sound similarities to the classic quote from characters in the Star Wars saga “May the force be with you”, in a free translation into Portuguese).
Every year, fans of the universe created by George Lucas take advantage of the date for various initiatives and the official Lucasfilm website explains some of the most relevant, or curious. There is no shortage of memories of how May 4th became Star Wars Day, stories of iconic characters and moments, and information about the sequels and prequels to the original films, and the derivations it gave rise to with various characters and many formats.

A collaboration between Epic Games and Lucasfilm Games announced last month also brings Star Wars characters and environments to Fortnite and with a new collection of content, from LEGO Fortnite, Battle Royale, Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival. A new video shows the celebration of Star Wars Day in the game.
