“It is urgent to end corruption at the level of the Regional Government apparatus”, says ADN

The ADN Party – National Democratic Alternative considers it “urgent to end corruption at the level of the Regional Government apparatus, with the wasting of public money, with cronyism, with influence peddling”.

Miguel Pita, in a statement, states that he intends to bring “serious and hard-working citizens” to regional political activity and “rescue representative democracy from the hands of those who behave as owners of the votes and consciences they bring to their voters”.

The party regrets, in fact, the fact that there is a candidate for leader of the Regional Government of Madeira who is accused in a case on suspicion of corruption.

“The ADN party does not support any intervention by justice in politics, or the opposite, but in this particular case, we consider that it is not enough to be “César’s wife, you also have to look like one” and the Autonomous Region of Madeira cannot continue to be humiliated and discredited by their political leaders, who use their powers for their own benefits”, points out the party’s leader.

“Faced with a PRR (Recovery and Resilience Plan) that aims to remove the country from yet another bankruptcy caused by the Socialist Party, the Autonomous Region of Madeira is again discriminated against and will continue to have “foxes in the hen house” to take advantage of public money, Therefore, given the need to save the people of Madeira and Porto Santo from the situation of great economic difficulty or even poverty that the majority encounter and face on a daily basis”, he reinforces.

Finally, the party emphasizes that its DNA is “to fight against the interests of professional politicians, corrupt political parties and large corrupting business groups, to the detriment of the needs of citizens”.

In this sense, Miguel Pita understands that “it is time to give opportunities to those who did not make politics their profession and to support a true Democratic Alternative for the Autonomous Region of Madeira”.

“We want to affirm ADN as the only alternative capable of putting an end to this outdated political-party system, in which the same leaders remain in power forever, despite their incompetence and lack of honesty”, he concludes.
