West Sumatra – A tragedy happened to a husband and wife (pasutri) who work as gold traders in Limapuluh Kota-Redensi, West Sumatra (Sumbar). Her husband, Reno, was found dead in an alleged blunt force attack. His wife Geetha was seriously injured.

The robbery took place on the night of Friday, May 3, 2024, in the middle of the victim’s journey home.
Limapuluh Kota AKBP police chief Ricardo Kondrat Yusuf said Gita is currently being treated in hospital because her condition makes it impossible to question her.

Ricardo said on Saturday, May 4, 2024: “Your wife is still injured and it is not possible to speak to her. She is still being treated in hospital.”
Ricardo explained that according to the results of the initial examination, Rino suffered a head injury caused by a blunt object, which is suspected to be the cause of his death. Furthermore, the victim lost gold and a motorcycle.

“What’s missing is gold and a suspicious motorcycle. The exact value is not yet known,” said Ricardo.

“It is believed that there was more than one author. We are still waiting for the victim to recover to obtain more information”, explained Ricardo.
This case of robbery with dead people is still under investigation. Police urge people to be extra vigilant and to immediately report to authorities if they see or become aware of any suspicious activity.
