The film provides a meeting between two of its members, with John Cleese in the main role and Michael Palin as a hilarious supporting character.
However, the one who steals the show is Kevin Kline as a criminal willing to do anything to get what he wants. His performance was so applauded that it even earned him a well-deserved Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. And it is worth noting that A Fish Called Wanda was also nominated for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.
Mixing action and comedy of all types – from absurdist humor to more physical comedy – the film is a safe bet to see tonight, as it manages to balance what in other hands could be complete absurdity.
