Video game adaptation was released on April 10 on Prime Video.
Fallout has barely arrived on Prime Video and has already become one of the platform’s most successful projects. After all, it is not only the world-famous video game that has achieved enormous prestige, but also the minds behind the adaptation, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy – responsible for another great science fiction series: Westworld.
Naturally, expectations for the duo’s new project were very high. The good news is that we can say that all of them were met with mastery.
Fallout: A must-see for dystopia fans
The series is based on the video game saga of the same name that debuted on the market in 1997 and now includes five main parts and several spin-offs. The focus is on various post-apocalyptic locations filled with unknown dangers, which can be freely explored by players.
The Fallout series begins in 2077 and shows the effects of a devastating nuclear war that has reduced most of the United States to a desert. While genetically engineered monsters and criminals wreak havoc on the surface, few people have managed to escape to a community of nuclear bunkers – including the young woman Lucy (Ella Purnell), who decides to leave for the first time to embark on a daring mission.
In addition to Purnell, Fallout also stars Walton Goggins (Sons Of Anarchy), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Aaron Moten (Emancipation) and Moises Arias (Ender’s Game). In addition to showrunner Jonathan Nolan, other big names with lots of series experience sat in the director’s chair, including Wayne Yip (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), Clare Kilner (House of the Dragon) and Frederick EO Toye ( “The boys”).
All episodes of Fallout are now available on Prime Video.
