In The Invasion: Alien Occupation (sequel to The Invasion), aliens have dominated Earth and have been ruling the planet for two years, but the population’s resistance remains uninterrupted. When a group led by Matt (Dan Ewing) discovers a mysterious secret weapon, they must team up with the war veteran Peter (Temuera Morrison, The Book of Boba Fett) to try to expel the invaders.

Big plans for the sci-fi saga The Invasion

Director Luke Sparke apparently doesn’t see the first film as part of the franchise, though he still has big plans to expand it. He announced plans to film two sequels at the same time to give fans a trilogy. However, things didn’t progress much as Sparke preferred other projects – like the action thriller Bring Him to Mereleased in 2023.

For the two Alien Occupation sequels, the director wants to significantly increase the celebrity cast. In addition to some returnees – such as Jason Isaacs (the Lucius Malfoyfrom the Harry Potter saga) and the protagonist Ewing -, stars such as Danny Trejo, Casper Van Dien, Tricia Helfer, Jeremy Piven and Liam McIntyre are expected to complete the cast.
