The “Freedom Race”, the 3rd Race of the Portuguese Women’s Cycling Cup, takes place today, May 5th, in the city of Moura.
Organized in a partnership between the Municipality of Moura, the Union of Parishes of Moura and Santo Amador, the Portuguese Cycling Federation and the Algarve Cycling Association, the competition features athletes from the categories of Cadets, Juniors, Under-23s, Elites and Masters 30, 40, 50 and 60.

Moura Nautical Station and river beach opened on June 19th

The departure and arrival will be at Rua das Terçarias, with the start scheduled for 9:55 am. The first 57.5 kilometers will be completed in line, passing through Póvoa de São Miguel, ending the Cadets and Masters 50 and 60 race on the return to the city of Moura, on Rua das Terçarias. The remaining categories enter the 19.6 kilometer circuit. In the next passage through the finish line, after 77.1 kilometers of the race, the junior, masters 30 and masters 40 competitions are decided. The under-23 and elite athletes complete another lap to total 96.7 kilometers. The end of the race is scheduled for 12:30 pm.
