Hundreds of cars detained after violent accident at the entrance to Braga

-

Hundreds of vehicles are stuck in traffic south of Braga’s urban ring road after a violent accident that left nine injured, early this Sunday afternoon.

According to what O MINHO found on the spot, the accident cut off traffic in the Braga-Porto direction, with the alternative being through a detour still in the city of Braga towards the old BP (currently Shell), which also gives access to the Circular.

In the Porto-Braga direction, cars must divert near the exit to the Glicínia pastry shop, but given the intense movement, this alternative is also quite slow for drivers. Despite running at a rapid pace, traffic is not blocked in this direction (Porto-Braga), but with work taking place in the opposite lane, it ends up restricting mobility.

As O MINHO reported, nine people suffered injuries after a collision involving five vehicles on the Braga South Ring Road, early this Sunday afternoon.

According to what O MINHO found at the scene, a vehicle that was traveling in the direction of Porto-Braga had entered the road and entered the opposite lane, hitting three cars and a truck that were traveling in the opposite direction.

At 3:25 pm, a young woman was being extricated, monitored with serum, is conscious and has already spoken to the rescue teams. This is a serious, but not critical, injury.

Another young man who was in serious condition was thrown from the front seat to the back of the car where he was traveling.

The truck driver was also careful, mainly because he was disoriented due to the accident.
