Mother and eight-year-old son who died in accident in Contorno Leste are identified

The mother, aged 31, and her son, aged 8, who died in a serious accident, this Sunday morning (5), on a stretch of Contorno Leste (BR-116), in São José dos Pinhais, in the metropolitan region of Curitiba, were identified. Dainara Silva was a civil servant in the city where the accident happened.

The victims were in a car that crashed into a wall on the highway, close to the access to BR-376. “Unfortunately, the situation involved a girl and a child who lost their lives. The injuries were incompatible with life,” said rescuer Marcelo Pereira, from Resgate Voluntário Parceiros da Vida.

According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the woman and child died at the scene. Both were wearing seat belts. The bodies were collected from the Legal Medical Institute (IML) and have not yet been released for burial. The child’s identity was not revealed.

“God! Help us to endure… I receive with great sadness the news of the death of our fellow employee Dainara Silva and her son, in the serious accident just now on Contorno Leste in São José dos Pinhais, without further information. May God comfort our hearts and whole family!” wrote Fabrício Tambolo on a social network.

“Dainara Silva, our sister friend, always with a smile on her face. May God comfort the family [sic]”, wrote another.
