In conversation with the weekly program column PEOPLEthe audiovisual producer Marcelo Yamada, socialite’s nephew Regina Gonçalves88 years old, accuses her of omission and connivance in her mother’s death, Therezinha Lemosin 2016. Furthermore, he also recalls a homicide committed by Regina more than five decades ago, which was widely reported at the time. “She already committed a homicide in 1969, she is a person who loved guns. The murder mentioned by the nephew was reported in the newspapers at the time with headlines such as: “Millionaire bride killed robber”. According to the edition of The globeon March 27, 1969, Regina, at the time 29 years old and still engaged to Nestor Gonçalves, 55 years old, shot and killed a robber who entered the businessman’s mansion in São Conrado, Rio de Janeiro. The newspaper News Gazette, from the same date, reported: “With a well-aimed shot, in the early hours of the morning, Regina Lemos killed the as-yet-unidentified assailant, who fell with his knife in hand. Regina was sleeping with her fiancé, Nestor Gonçalves, in his mansion, in São Conrado, when she sensed a strange noise. She called a brother first, asking for arrangements. Somehow, she saw a figure and detonated the weapon”. The case was closed.

In recent weeks, the socialiteheiress to a million-dollar fortune left by her late husband, the farmer and businessman Nestor Gonçalves, accuses the former driver and companion of false imprisonment. Furthermore, Regina points out that her former driver José Marcos Chaves Ribeiro53 years old, with whom he signed a stable union, would be in possession of one of the four mansions in São Conrado – the one that was once the scene of the murder now rescued by his nephew.
