Luana Xavier enjoys vacation in Carneiros. Between one swim and another in the crystal clear, warm waters of the beach, located in Pernambuco, the actress posed in a bikini.
Luana has been showing her real state of mind on social media. The actress says she exudes happiness after having bariatric surgery on August 5th last year. In total, the granddaughter of actress Chica Xavier lost 55 kilos.
“Today I feel a willingness to live (which may seem cliché, but it isn’t) that makes me want to accomplish things that I was leaving behind. A few years ago I had been giving up on certain trips I wanted to do, because I knew I wouldn’t have the physical fitness to go on them. Today I can easily do a 1 and a half hour monologue that demands a lot of me physically. I have even given him two consecutive presentations on some occasions”, he celebrates.
The decision to undergo surgery was not easy. She pondered a lot.
“Before deciding to have the surgery, I thought a thousand absurd things. I thought that those who underwent bariatric surgery had given in to failure. And when I finally decided to do it, I researched a lot, read reports from people who had done it and understood that it was a life-changing decision and that bariatrics is not an isolated solution, but rather a tool that, along with so many others (just as important) can considerably improve our health.”
And it wasn’t just the actress’ mannequin that changed its number. Her health is also very grateful!
“I’m so sure! Feeling so capable, with my blood pressure balanced and no risk of diabetes! I exude joy through my pores. And the coolest thing is that those who follow me online have noticed the same thing. Every day I receive messages from people saying that I have a different glow lately. And I think the name of this shine is the will to live! I gave myself this chance with bariatric surgery!”
So far she has achieved the weight loss she wanted. Next year the goal is to perform some reconstructive surgeries to reduce sagging.
“With my surgeon, we don’t determine an exact weight as a goal. We are following exams, gradually understanding where we can still go. I’m working out for real! And I can say that I’m almost enjoying bodybuilding! (Laughter). The fact that I don’t feel chronic pain already gives me the motivation to work out, you know? Because I lived with back and knee pain and that discouraged me from exercising. I’m managing to maintain consistency.”
