At the time, he was called João Pedro Carvalho, but now he goes by his stage name: MC Jottapê! After his success in ‘O Menino da Porteira’, MC Jottapê participated in several productions. In 2012, he played Jorginho (Cauã Reymond) when he was a child and lived in the landfill. He was also in ‘Chiquititas’, with the character Janjão. Furthermore, he even became a child reporter on the CQC program.
In 2017, he started investing in music and officially became known as Jottapê. He was hired by the production company KondZilla and was already successful with his first hit, the funk ‘Sentou e Gostou’. The track reached 4th position among the most played songs on Spotify. Since then, he began to be even more successful in music and recorded with several artists, such as Lexa, MC Kevinho and Ferrugem.
