Madonna revealed details about the death of a Globo comedian during her show in Copacabana.

Madonna’s show revealed a little known and talked about detail about the death of actor Mauro Gonçalves. Zacarias from ‘Os Trapalhões’ passed away in 1990 at the age of 56. On the death certificate, the comedian’s cause of death was stated as “respiratory failure, respiratory distress syndrome and respiratory infection“. However, there was a fourth cause erased in the document.
To this day it has never been confirmed, but the rumors that Zacarias died of AIDS have always been very strong. At Madonna’s show this Saturday (4), the Queen of Pop paid tribute to the Globo comedian, reinforcing this idea.

At the beginning of the show, Madonna paid tribute to several artists who were victims of AIDS. While she sang the song ‘Live to Tell’, images of Cazuza, Renato Russo and many other famous people who died from the disease were shown on the screen. Among the photos was Mauro Gonçalves, eternal Zacarias from ‘Os Trapalhões’.
Many people were shocked to see the comedian’s image on the screen because they didn’t know he had AIDS. Theories have always pointed out that Zacarias was bisexual and died due to complications from the disease, but that both his family and Globo had intervened.
