Assessment

Juliana Desidério, coach of the Fundesport women’s artistic gymnastics team, analyzed the competition and her team. “The result of this State Cup is very positive for the city of Araraquara. We are very happy and proud of everything that happened here. It is an extremely careful, technical competition, with great teams participating. The women’s team exceeded my expectations. They were at minimum 20 teams for each category and our little girls debuted with 23 other teams. It was the first competition of their lives and they did everything we trained, without fail, they controlled their emotion, they managed to overcome the adrenaline of the first one. competition and gave a gift to our city”, he highlighted.

The coach also evaluated the other categories. “Category B had 29 teams, with more than 150 girls participating. Our girls showed that they really prepared themselves and that they really wanted to be there. They had a beautiful competition, practically no failures, they got third place and were also very proud. In the category A, our most experienced girls, who will represent the municipality throughout this year, also shone, they had a practically flawless competition, without falls, without failures, they put into practice everything we trained and reached second place in teams. And we did. the overall champion of the competition in this category, which was Manuely Gomes”, he pointed out.

Juliana praised the girls’ determination. “We knew about all this complexity of the competition, despite having closed regulations. It is very technical, it is a competition where whoever has the fewest mistakes goes to the top, but the girls from Araraquara showed how much they trained and dedicated themselves to be a reason It’s only the first competition of the year, we have a whole season ahead of us, but these girls took their first step of the year in style”, he concluded.

Coach Thiago Lopes dos Santos, who leads the men’s teams, praised the boys’ performance. “I’m very happy with the result the boys had. They surpassed themselves. We didn’t have much time to train the devices the way we should have, so we ended up worrying a little more about the physical part than the technical part, but the results They were very surprising. And even more surprising because the level of competitiveness of the cities that came was greatly increased. For the boys in category B, it wasn’t easy, with very tight results in category A, I even expected us to come in fourth, fifth or sixth. , and this fifth place came within what we imagined. Some boys increased the value of the series, others needed to adapt to the new reality, since it is a very different competition, but overall I am very happy with this participation”, he commented.
